Pattern - Shawl "Estonian Butterflies"
The motif of my "Estonian Butterflies" shawl is based on a stitch pattern from the book "The Haapsalu Shawl: A Knitted Lace Tradition from Estonia" by Siiri Reimann, Aime Edasi. To knit this pattern you will have to make nupps (a lot of them!) on the wrong side of the fabric.
Yarn used: Shibui Knits - Staccato - Velvet 2017.
Fibers: 70% Merino, 30% Silk.
Yarn weight: Fingering / 4 ply.
Yardage: 616.9 yards, 161 grams.
Size made: 75.2" x 28" (191 x 71 cm).
The pattern includes a simple to follow chart and general instructions. I hope you enjoy it!
